Sussex Spaniel - n : A strong stocky dog of a breed developed in Sussex, a county of southeast England, having long ears, short legs, and a silky golden-brown coat.
The Sussex Spaniel is a rich golden liver in color. If they spend any
time in the sun they get a golden top coat that is especially attractive.
They are described as long, low to the ground and powerful dogs.
They have very sweet temperaments, very lovable and cuddly.
Very few health problems. Little grooming is required.
Coats do not get extremely long. The coat is feathered behind their
front legs and under their belly. The hair on their ears gets quite long.
Their weight varies from about 35 to 45 lbs, Their tails are docked,
but longer than Cocker Spaniels'. They are very 'happy go lucky' dogs, very
devoted to their owners. If you like spaniels you will LOVE these guys.
People will stop you everywhere to ask about your unique pet.
